It’s
9 am and Si La Meo campers gather in the opening circle to welcome
each
other into another action packed day of fun, friendship and activities.
The campus of Alaska Pacific University provides the perfect environment
for campers to experience nature and participate in outdoor activities
in a convenient, urban location. From pre-school to middle school,
Camp Si La Meo has a wide variety of exciting programs that allow
children to discover new interests as well as to practice favorites,
all under the guidance of caring, trained adult staff.
Whether campers attend one session or all, each
week will be new and challenging. Counselors will help campers
set goals at camp
activities such as archery and swimming, and track camper’s
progress. Weekly program themes and special guests will make each
session unique and fun. Campers and counselors work together to
plan small group activities and special events, giving campers
the opportunity to practice group decision making and planning.
Read
the Session
Descriptions to learn more about each program at
camp as well as date and fee information. The Parent Guide will
help you and your child prepare for camp and provides more specific
information about camp policies and procedures. When you are ready
to register, you may do so online or stop by our office at 161
Klevin Street in Anchorage, and we will be happy to assist
you in person.
Camp Si La Meo sessions run Monday through Friday from 9 am to
4 pm. Before and after camp care is available for all sessions.
If you have any questions about the camp program, please contact
the Program Manager Theresa
Serr. I am always happy to talk about
camp!
